The Helford Edit: Introducing the Collection

When creating collections, we want to bring a slice of Cornwall into your home, adding the perfect finish, refreshing the room and giving it that dreamy coastal cottage ambiance. Our Helford collection does just that, inspired by the Helford river, home to local mussels and the surrounding harbour, where hand dived scallops are a local delicacy, the collection will transport you straight to the oceans edge.

The Helford is a delightful unspoilt estuary stretching from the outer edge of Falmouth Bay up to the old port of Gweek. In the broad lower reaches open fields run down to a rocky shore dotted with little beaches.

Where the river narrows there is a pedestrian ferry that has been in operation since the Middle Ages. This image of this Cornish fisherman checking his oyster net on the Helford is from 1952, the river is still famous for its delicious mussels and oysters.

This part of the river is now largely given over to yacht moorings, with a handful of active fishing boats. You can moor up in the romantic Frenchman's creek, made famous by Daphne Du Mauriers love story set here in Cornwall, only accessible at high tide and listen to the nightjars and revel in the tranquility.

Cornwall is the heart and soul of Cream, we are continuously inspired by our surroundings and it shows through our creations. In awe of this beautiful part of Cornwall, the Helford Collection was born. Each design starts as a pen and ink illustration and is then printed onto linen, using state of the art printing technology, capturing every detail.

The collection currently includes cushions, lampshades and fabric.

Our luxury cushions are finished with a zip, have a matching colour cotton back and are edged in piping. Printed on a linen cotton mix in a choice of two background colours, off white or natural with five different colours sections of blues and pearly pinks and in our square or rectangle cushion.

Samples of the fabrics are available on request. Email us with your choices of fabric and colours, along with a postal address and we will post them to you by Royal Mail.

We hope you enjoy your own little slice of Cornwall.
