Five minutes with Jack D March

This week we're talking to Jack D March whose love of design has led to his influence in the interior world as people follow his renovations and styling inspiration. Over the years Jack has shared his love of Cream Cornwall products and we thought it was time to get to know him a bit more.

What draws you to Cornwall?
Cornwall is a place that I've always explored with friends. We come down as a big group and explore different parts. I love the pretty little villages and the towns, but there's just something so relaxing and calming about being by the sea; being able to sleep with the doors open and hear the waves.

Where's your favourite spot here and why?
That's a hard one. I've got a couple. St Ives is definitely one of them because it's just so quaint and pretty and it's where I remember coming as a child, but I also love the beach at Trevone. It just reminds me of sitting and drinking, and watching the sunset with friends.

What does home mean to you?
Home should be somewhere where you can fully feel where you can be yourself. Be surrounded by things that you love that reflect your personality. I always say, if you love it, buy it. Don't go with themes and trends, if you love it because it will always work because it will reflect you and your personality.

If you could only keep one thing from your house, what would you keep and why?
This is hard because I'm such a hoarder and I'm so sentimental, but I think I would grab my curtains because once you hit 30 you realise the need and the quality of a good curtain.*

*We totally agree with Jack on the often overlooked impact a pair of good curtains or a blind can have in a room. A set of beautiful curtains are an investment and they can be the hero of the room. If you're looking for a bespoke blind or set of curtains then we can help. Any of our hand illustrated fabric can be used and we can take care of the whole process for you. All you need to do is choose which fabric you like the best...and let me tell you it can be a difficult choice!
